A Little Lakeland Testimony
A team of six from TACF, led by Mel and Sue Natagoc, pastors of TACF Brampton, went down to Lakeland, Florida to see what the Lord would have for us there. Well, we were all impacted by the Lord in that very electric environment. We were there for only three nights but each night we received prayer from Todd and his team and we came away with increased measures of anointing for healing and with more of the fire of God in our bellies!
One of the highlights for me was listening to Patricia King who was there at the time as well. She ministered at one of the morning sessions and her godly wisdom, maturity of character and gracious love just shone through as she spoke on dealing with the various challenges that has confronted this Outpouring – in the midst of all the attention that it is getting, both negative and positive. If she were Catholic and a man she could easily be the Pope!

We tried to be cool about it and to give the impression that this is regular fare for us! But on the inside we were leaping with joy and excitement that Jesus would heal this lady through our hands!

In addition to Patricia, I was also struck by some of the similarities between the Toronto and Lakeland Outpourings. It was fun to listen to the pastor talk about all the logistical challenges that they were facing with this sudden and unexpected influx of people from all over the world! Apparently, their budget for toilet paper has increase ten times since the outpouring! They were also in the throes of having to purchase more land for parking lots and to build accommodation for volunteers! These are some of the identical issues that John and Carol, Steve and Sandra, Jeremy and Connie and the rest of the leadership team at TACF had to deal with in the early days of the renewal here! In addition to all the scrutiny they have been receiving after being thrust into the spotlight, these are some of the practical ramifications of revival that they have been dealing with – and very creditably so from what I have observed.
Although our team was not part of John and Carol’s entourage, they were there at the same time as we were. However, being from TACF, we got in on the blessings! Todd on our second and third nights called John and Carol’s team up for prayer so we went up as well! We were all blasted by the anointing!
Some immediate fruit
On the way back home we dropped off our group at the airport and Mel and I drove to the car rental place to return the car. I noticed that the lady who was inspecting the car was Hispanic so I pulled out my Spanish and began to chat with her. Well, within a few seconds the anointing was on me and my Spanish was flowing. I am not totally fluent most of the time and I hadn’t spoken for a while yet I was flowing now and spoke for about 3 to 5 minutes about all that the Lord was doing in Lakeland as naturally as could be! It was a God moment.
She said maybe she should go there too because she was suffering with constant back and neck pain. Well, we jumped on that like a stamp on a letter! We told her that we could also pray for her then and there and that God would show up and heal her. She agreed to let us pray for her. I put my hand on her back and we declared healing over her body. Within a few seconds she exclaimed that my hand was burning her and she felt a “warm presence”. I took my hand off after we had finished praying and before I could say “check your body” she began to smile, “The pain is gone. I have no more pain!!” She was visibly different and the love of God was all over her.
Well! We tried to be cool about it and to give the impression that this is regular fare for us! But on the inside we were leaping with joy and excitement that Jesus would heal this lady through our hands!
Of course, the next step was to tell her that this was Jesus on the outside, “Do you want him on the inside now?” She said, “Yes!” so, we led her to Jesus and gave her the websites of the Lakeland church and commended her to the safe keeping of the Holy Spirit since we had to leave for our flight.
It was fun to be used by the Lord and to experience such immediate fruit of our time at the Lakeland Outpouring. We got some!
